While there are many excellent books already published from the Free Grace perspective, many are dedicated to single topics, or responding to attacks from critics of opposing positions. A Biblical Sketch: Free Grace Theology is written with the main purpose of concisely and pragmatically painting a broad stroke over Free Grace Theology in an attempt to simplistically explain the various facets of the Free Grace position to the lay person. This includes explaining how one receives eternal life, understanding what a “free” gift truly is, the promise of God granting eternal life, the purpose of discipleship, and the need for discipline in a Christian’s life, to name a few. In doing so, this book highlights key passages of each theology, explains it from a literal-historical-grammatical perspective, and offers practical illustrations to make the Free Grace position evident. In the end, the position of Free Grace is explained clearly and concisely to the lay person, in the hopes of giving clarity to those seeking to understand its truths, while also pulling those from the grips of legalism and a works-based salvation.
